Taction Pads

Taction Pads are clear, adhesive backed, touch sensitive plastic strips or patches. When adhered to any surface or item they act like switches. When you touch or pick up the item, it can activate virtually any another battery operated device.

Directions:
Choose the size Taction Pad that will work best with the item you want the child to pick up or touch. There are 3 different sizes: 2”x4”, 3”x5”, & 0.1”x24”. The long thin size is ideal to wrap around an object. The other sizes may be placed on, under, or around an item.

Peel the backing off the Taction Pad. Stick it to the item that you wish to have activate a message or control the environment. (It could be a Fisher Price toy that will activate a song or message when a child picks it up, or a picture of a lamp that turns on the lamp). Note: This will be permanently adhered. If you want to be able to remove and reuse the Taction Pad with other items, then adhere the sticky back to a clear backing such as Cleer Adheer laminate sheets of clear Con-Tact paper. Then use clear tape to stick the Taction Pad to various items.

Plug it into the LinkSwitch. (The Link Switch is needed to interface the Taction Pads with any devices other than those made by Adaptivation, Inc.) Plug the LinkSwitch into the item you wish to activate.
Both Taction Pads and Link Switch are made by Adaptivation, Inc. Taction Pads are $15 each or $65 for a set of 5. The Link Switch is $69.
